Salary is £35,931 per annum pro rata (including London Allowance)*

*This is the expected starting salary for this post however appointment at a higher point may be made for candidates who demonstrate exceptional skills and experience relevant to the role.

Applications are invited for the post of Post-Doctoral Teaching Associate in the Department of Psychology, Royal Holloway, University of London. The post is 0.6FTE and runs from 6 September 2021 to 5 September 2022.

The post holder will engage in teaching, supervision, and administration across our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Successful applicants should have their PhD in Psychology examined prior to the start date, have experience of conducting high quality psychological research, and have the ability to make strong contributions to our taught programmes at UG and PGT levels. They should be enthusiastic about delivering effective high-quality teaching and supervision of student research projects.

The post holders will work as part of our academic team in a dynamic and supportive environment that is known internationally for its outstanding research and teaching. There is a strong research environment, with the Department ranked 6th in the UK in the 2014 REF for our world-leading and internationally excellent research. We consistently achieve high levels of student satisfaction in the NSS, with overall satisfaction levels typically over 90% (93% in 2020). There is a strong culture of support for Teaching Focused academics within the Department, with regular training provided and opportunities to engage in scholarship and pedagogic research.
