POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE IN BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING

The Engineering Biomechanics Group seeks to appoint for a short term (4 months) a Postdoctoral Research Associate to support its research activities in relation to the development of treatment optimisation methods for corneal conditions. You are expected to have a range of skills including numerical simulation using finite element analysis, programming, and large data analysis. You must have a strong background in engineering (biomedical, mechanical, or civil). Prior knowledge of biomechanics, AI or mathematical analysis would be advantageous. Appointment is at Grade 6 or 7.

The post is available to start as soon as possible, and has a maximum duration of 4 months.

You will have a PhD (or be about to obtain) in a relevant discipline (biomedical, mechanical, or civil) for Grade 7 or MEng in a relevant engineering discipline (biomedical, mechanical, or civil) for Grade 6.

Any applicants who are still awaiting their PhD to be awarded should be aware that if successful, they will be appointed at grade 6, spine point 30.  Upon written confirmation that they have been successful in being awarded their PhD, they will be moved onto grade 7, spine point 31 from the date of their award.
