Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Microbiology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 518915), to commence as soon as possible for one year or two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. or equivalent in Bioinformatics, Virology, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English, and a demonstrated record of publishing academic research papers. They should also be proficient in NGS/sequence data analysis and database development/maintenance, organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team. Experience in metagenomics, microbiome, microbial genomics, omics analysis, microbial identification/diagnostics, or massive DNA sequencing would be an advantage. The appointee will assist in the on-going research projects under the supervision of Dr. Jade L.L. Teng.
