Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Centre for Information Technology in Education within the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 520756), to commence as soon as possible until August 31, 2024.

Applicants should possess a doctoral degree in Education, Social Sciences or a related discipline, and experience in analyzing survey and/or assessment data. Familiarity with the literature on digital literacy and/or factors at the student, home and school levels influencing educational achievement, and large-scale quantitative data is a clear advantage. Preference will be given to those with experience in managing and analyzing quantitative research data using advanced statistical methods, such as multiple linear regression, mediation analysis, multilevel modeling, and/or latent variable models. Good organizational skills and the ability to work on a tight schedule are essential to succeed in this role. They should also have a high level of writing proficiency in English and demonstrated ability in writing up research findings for both academic and general audiences, and be self-motivated, responsible and able to work independently and within a team.

The appointee will work on a project on STEAM education and transformative leadership. He/She will work closely with the Principal Investigator and the project team, to conduct research in a predominantly independent manner, and pursue investigations in the teaching and learning of STEAM and multilevel leadership and other related research studies. He/She will be responsible for (a) research and instrument design; (b) data collection, management, analysis and interpretation; (c) preparation for publications in peer reviewed journals and books; (d) working collaboratively with the project team to liaise with schools, professional bodies and other relevant stakeholders; and (e) providing assistance in administrative and promotional work.
