Duties and Responsibilities

The objective of this post is to offer interdisciplinary training to individuals interested in utilizing  cognitive neuroscience and machine learning techniques to study learning, cognitive functioning,  language processing, and reading acquisition.  Candidates will conduct EEG)research on implicit statistical learning and language processing, perform EEG data analyses, and neural computation and collaborate with in-house researchers on analyzing EEG and behavioral data.  Additionally, training will be provided on manuscript and grant writing.  He/She will work under the supervision of Professor Shelley Xiuli Tong.

Requirements

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in cognitive neuroscience, neuropsychology, or a related field with a strong background in EEG, functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS), functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), or neural computation, as well as skills in programming with Python or MATLAB.  They are expected to be experts in time-frequency analysis of EEG data.  In addition, they should have a knack for accuracy and attention to details; excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills; the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and the ability to prioritize and work under pressure.
