Position Overview

KU is seeking a highly motivated Post-doctoral Fellow to work on the design and synthesis of novel conducting organic polymers for optoelectronic applications. The rationally designed polymers will be well-characterized and tested for device fabrication and testing. There are two key responsibilities for the position: 1) Design and synthesis of both p- and n-type semiconducting organic polymers (supervised by Dr. Dinesh) and 2) development of new approaches for polymer integration/fabrication steps (supervised by Dr. Ammar Nayfeh).  We are planning to implement a novel process to fabricate thin film devices including new etching methods and lithography techniques.  The polymers will be synthesized in-house and optimized before being used in two different device architectures (field effect devices and energy harvesting cells)
