Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow (holding the title of Research Manager) in the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 512722), to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. 

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. Degree in Public Health, Psychology, Social Work, Gerontology, Nursing, Counseling, Behavioral Health, Mental Health or a related discipline; excellent written and spoken skills in Chinese/Cantonese and English. Experience in undertaking research related to end-of-life care (EoLC) and handling big data would be an advantage.

The appointee will work in the Jockey Club End-of-Life Community Care Project (JCECC) under the Faculty of Social Sciences. The Project, started in 2016, aimed at improving the quality of End-of-Life Care (EoLC), enhancing the capacity of service providers, as well as raising public awareness on life and death issues. The appointee is expected to involve in a research team working on cutting-edge research and evaluation studies in end-of-life care, and supervise junior research staff. He/She will also be engaged in training for healthcare and social care professionals as tutor/facilitator; and perform other duties as assigned. This position will expose the appointee to both academic research and teaching in the multi-disciplinary EoLC team.
