Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellowin the Department of Psychology (Ref.: 508338), to commence as soon as possible thereafter for three years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Developmental/Educational Psychology or other related discipline. They should have good academic publication record in developmental/educational psychology and familiarity with the literature on mathematical cognition. Knowledge and experience in developing standardize assessment tool and/or mobile learning applications are desirable. Applicants should also have a high level of writing proficiency in English and demonstrated ability in writing up research findings for both academic and general audiences. They should be self-motivated, have good sense of responsibility, and be able to work independently and within a team.

The appointee will work on a project on the development of a comprehensive assessment system for identifying and supporting children with mathematics learning difficulties. Duties will include literature review; preparation of assessment and intervention materials; liaison with external parties; supervision of research staff and research interns; data processing and data analysis; preparation of manuscript and reports; development of new research initiatives and other research-related duties as assigned.
