Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Geography (Ref: 515346), to commence as soon as possible for three years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Applicants should possess a PhD degree in Geography / Remote Sensing / Marine Science / Environmental Science with related expertise in climate change, space-time data processing and scenario analysis; plus a track record of relevant scholarly publications. Intensive research experience in climate mitigation-adaptation, sea level rise, and environmental footprint are preferred for the post. They should be responsible, organized and self-motivated with good analytical skills.  Relevant field work experience in China would be preferred.

The appointee should demonstrate an excellent ability to communicate effectively both in writing and in oral presentations in Chinese and English. He/She will work closely with the Principal Investigator and his research team to conduct research under their supervision in a predominantly independent manner. He/She will carry out studies on sustainable development goals (SDGs), carbon neutrality, and urban resilience in the Department of Geography.
