Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department ofChemistry (Ref.: 511514), to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry or equivalent, with a strong background in Materials Chemistry and Supramolecular Chemistry.  Expertise in chemical synthesis, photophysical characterization and measurements, and functional materials characterization is preferred.  They should have fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese, a strong sense of responsibility, good organizational skills, leadership skills, the ability to work independently and be self-motivated.  The appointee will work on the research area of “Supramolecular Functional Luminescent Metal Complexes” under the supervision of Professor Vivian W.W. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
