We are inviting applications for a Post-Doctoral Associate in the Economics department of the Division of Social Science at NYU Abu Dhabi. The applicant should have or soon receive a PhD in Economics. The appointment will begin September 1, 2023, subject to final budget approval and security clearance. 

The Post-Doctoral Associate will spend half of their time on independent research and half of their time on collaborative research with Professors Jean Imbs and Jordan J. Norris. The collaborative research will be broadly within spatial economics with a focus on empirical applications of network theory.

We seek a candidate who is empirically-minded and capable with economic theory. Advanced training in mathematics (particularly linear algebra), programming, and skills with statistical packages are essential. We welcome interest and experience in network science, international (macro)economics, economic geography, economic development, and game theory in networks.

The position does not require teaching, but it may be possible to get teaching experience for compensation. You will be part of a group of over 20 post-doctoral fellows and 70 faculty in the Division of Social Science.
