Post-Doctoral Associate in the Division of Science Physics, Dr. Francesco Arneodo

The Division of Science at New York University Abu Dhabi is inviting applicants for a post doctoral hire in the area of particle detector physics.

Applicants will work on activities pertaining to the research lines of the group of Prof. Arneodo, among which

• Dark Matter search with liquid xenon detectors or dielectric haloscopes.
• Detection of charged radiation and gamma rays in space.
• Application of radiation detection techniques to cultural heritage.

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in physics at the time of hiring. Knowledge of radiation detection techniques with scintillators (organic or inorganic), also on space-based experiments, and/or silicon detectors, is required as well as excellent coding skills.  Experience in data analysis is a title of preference.
