We have an exciting opportunity to join the IT Services Department as a Portfolio Support Analyst within the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) working in a hybrid capacity.

The Portfolio Support Analyst will support the aims of the Portfolio Management Office in delivering high quality support and guidance to the project community and its stakeholders.

About the Role

As a key member of the Portfolio Management Office, the Portfolio Support Analyst reports to the Senior Portfolio Analyst and will work closely with colleagues across the Business Management Office and Programmes & Projects Delivery Group.

The PMO support all aspects of programme and project delivery, including the provision of up to date best practice standards and guidance, monitoring and control, reporting, risk and issue management, lessons learned and quality assurance.

The role requires the individual to build effective working relationships with all members of the IT Services department, as well as external stakeholders, in order to ensure a pragmatic approach to delivery and the appropriate application of the project management methodology. The post holder will need to become proficient with the aims of the PMO, its processes, and associated project management tools. Training will be given in areas where the post holder may be unfamiliar and we would welcome applications from individuals with transferable skills from a project delivery or support background.

About You

You will be a confident self-starter with experience of working in programme and project delivery or have a background supporting an environment with strong governance-driven processes and one that prioritises excellent levels of customer support.

A positive, proactive, yet pragmatic approach to your work is required with the ability to work to deadlines and provide guidance to personnel at all levels of the organisation in areas of project process, toolsets or best practice.

The role requires an individual who is equally comfortable collaborating in a team or working independently and has a keen eye for detail whilst seeking opportunities for continuous improvement.
