We are seeking to appoint a Planning Officer for an interesting, varied and responsible role in the Planning & Strategy Office. Based in the Planning and Reporting team, and working with internal and external stakeholders, you will plan and deliver intelligence and management information, with specific responsibility for the research data portfolio – including research awards and application data, research output data, research-related equality and diversity data – and the team’s role in the Research Excellence Framework (REF).

This is a great opportunity to play a key role in a busy office responsible for analyses and insights required for the development and delivery of the University’s strategic aims.

You will have:

  • A high level of competency working with data and proficiency with associated tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyse and communicate complex data confidently to a varied audience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including consultation and collaboration
  • Understanding of the Higher Education research environment and policy landscape
