Global Advancement, part of the External Engagement and Global Division

Global Advancement is responsible for developing lifelong relationships between the University and its alumni and other supporters. The Operations team is one of three teams within Global Advancement and is responsible for supporting and informing the wider directorate by providing prospect research, data management, philanthropic income management, data systems management, insight, donor relations and planning and strategy development support. The work of the Operations team underpins the success of the wider Global Advancement team and its targets.

The Role

The main purpose of this role is to work with the wider team to ensure that philanthropic donations are accurately and promptly recorded on the Raisers Edge database in accordance with University procedures and Charity Commission audit guidelines. The Philanthropic Gift and Endowment Fund Administrator will also support the Philanthropic Fund Manager with the collection of donations through a range of payment methods, assist with Gift Aid claims and the subsequent managing and disbursement of philanthropic funds within the University.

About You

The candidate should have experience working with financial data and be familiar with the UK finance and payment procedures.  Prior experience of using databases, financial record keeping together with a working understanding of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) would be a benefit for the role.  Demonstrable skills of the Microsoft Office suite, in particularly Excel would be considered essential.  You should be able to work to specific deadlines andreprioritise tasks as required to meet the demands of the role.
