In its current strategic plan, the University has set ambitious goals for postgraduate education, and the position of Admissions Support Officer will support the Assistant Registrar and Postgraduate Admissions Officer in the achievement of these goals through the delivery of an efficient and responsive application management system, and the implementation of effective admissions procedures and processes in support of these goals.

Applications are invited for the position of Admissions Support Officer within the Postgraduate and Non-CAO Admissions team in the Admissions and Student Recruitment Office. The person appointed will work with the Postgraduate and Non-CAO Admissions team to plan and deliver enhancements to the applicant experience, and to administrative processes as appropriate. They will oversee the day-to-day operations management of the admission process, working closely with colleagues in the Student Recruitment and Admissions Office, the Postgraduate Applications System Project team and with professional and academic staff across the university in developing and implementing the new PG and Non-CAO admissions system and the processes to maximise efficiency while upholding university entry requirements.

The post-holder will have a leadership role within the admissions function and will contribute to other tasks within the office as required. The successful candidate will be organised and logical, with an ability to develop and manage detailed processes.

Salary

Administrative Officer II (2023): €42,893 – €61,240 p.a. (9 points)

Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
