Salary: £27,928 per annum (subject to a Cost of Living Review in August 2022)

Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week (exclusive of meal breaks). Requests for hybrid/part-time working may be considered.

Contract Type: Permanent, subject to 6 months’ probation.

Selwyn College wishes to appoint a Payroll and Accounts Assistant to work in the College Bursary. This post represents a great opportunity to gain experience of work across a range of financial functions carried out in the Bursary, most importantly: Payroll. The successful candidate can expect a varied portfolio of responsibilities, which is expected to evolve over time.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have very good numeracy skills and fluency in English. Competency in MS Excel and Word is important. A willingness to undertake formal training (funded by the College) in payroll administration is also a pre-requisite for candidates having limited or no experience in this area.

There is the opportunity for salary progression through performance-based increments, and salaries will be subject to a Cost of Living review on 1st August 2022. In addition, the College offers excellent benefits including a generous occupational pension scheme and a free meal on duty.
