Overview

EUSA is an international, not-for-profit, internship organization in partnership with Boston University. As academic internship experts, we work with universities, departments and individual professors to create and deliver customized programs in London, Dublin, Madrid, Paris and Prague. The programs include traditional academic courses to inform the study abroad experience, as well as academically-assessed experiential courses specifically related to internships. London is EUSA’s flagship site, placing over a thousand students a year in a rapidly evolving internship market.

EUSA London is currently seeking to appoint a Graduate Assistant for a course titled ‘Marketing Management’ for study abroad students normally based in the United States for the month of June 2024.

The main objective of the course to learn how to put the strategies and tactics of effective Marketing in place to incentivise profitable customer behaviour without incurring needless costs.

Job Description

Duties include:

  • Attend 17 Seminars and assist professor with course as required
  • Help organise field trips in London, and supervise students joining and visiting various museums and cultural destinations in central London
  • Accompany and lead students on London field trips
  • Help supervise student research projects and/or coursework
  • Hold office hours for and be available to advise on research/writing skills for students
  • Liaise between EUSA office staff and students
  • Occasional office duties
  • The teaching commitment is tentatively: June 4 – June 26
  • 17 commitments: 14 classes (3 hours each) and 3 field trips = circa 45 hours total
  • Candidates must have experience of working with and teaching American students, and must possess strong cross-cultural, mentoring and communication skills.
  • The successful candidate will hold a Master’s degree in either Marketing or Communications.
  • Course to be taught on a home-campus syllabus, alongside visiting faculty.
  • Applicants must have the legal status to work full-time in the UK.
  • Position reports to the London Director
  • Remuneration of £1,500 paid in one sum for entirety of role (not based on hourly rate).
