Paediatric Clinical Research Fellow

This is an exciting opportunity for a paediatric trainee (with MRCPCH or equivalent experience) to work as a research fellow and take part in range of ongoing paediatric research activity across Africa and Asia. This post provides experience in international clinical research and trial implementation in a multi-disciplinary academic environment, with training and support from the team in Oxford led by Professor Andrew Pollard, Department of Paediatrics, Oxford University.

Working with local clinicians and research fellows and a multi-disciplinary team in Oxford the Research Fellow will be involved in development of study protocols and essential documents needed in the preparation and submission of ethics and grant applications and study delivery. The post-holder will provide clinical support and oversight for the Paediatric research team based in Nepal, Uganda and other sites, contribute to publications and would have the potential to develop a programme of work towards a higher degree.

The post will involve significant international travel of > 5 months per year, mainly in Asia and specifically Nepal.
