Job Overview:

University College Birmingham has a vacancy in our very busy packing room, based on the second floor in our Summer Row building The successful candidate (s) will contribute fully to the daily support of supplying handmade stock (from the students, bakery and chef lecturers) to the commercial cafe.

You will be responsible, for the correct allergen labelling and packaging of all food delivered to the packing room from the College of Food. In addition, you will ensure the safe delivery of all packaged and correctly labelled stock to the café. You will also be working closely in other catering areas where support is needed.

Compliance with high standards of quality control, hygiene and health and safety in line with legal requirements and company specification.

You must have previous experience of working in a packing room or similar all and relevant Food Hygiene certification.

The post-holders will be expected to work flexibly to meet the demands of the service.
