This is an exciting opportunity for a paediatric trainee (with MRCPCH or equivalent experience) to work as a research fellow and take part in range of ongoing paediatric research activity primarily based in Nepal.

This post provides experience in international clinical research and trial implementation in a multi-disciplinary academic environment, with training and support from the team in Oxford led by Professor Andrew Pollard, Department of Paediatrics, Oxford University.

Working with local clinicians and research fellows and a multi-disciplinary team in Oxford the Research Fellow will be involved in development of study protocols and essential documents needed in the preparation and submission of ethics and grant applications and study delivery. The postholder will provide clinical support and oversight for the paediatric research team based in Nepal and other sites, contribute to publications and would have the potential to develop a programme of work towards a higher degree.

The post will involve significant international travel of > 5 months per year, mainly in Asia and specifically Nepal. While in the UK, this post will be based at the Oxford Vaccine Group, Centre for Clinical Vaccinology and Tropical Medicine, Churchill Hospital, Oxford OX3 7LE.
