Your personal sphere of influence:
As an organizational assistant, you support Prof. Eva Horn and Prof. Michael Wagreich as heads of the VAN and carry out all administrative tasks relating to VAN activities, network members, outside communication, advertising, and budget.
The Vienna Anthroopocene Network is an interdisciplinary network of academics who focus on problems and perspectives of the Anthropocene. We communicate with interenational research institutions, we organize international conferences, we showcase our research revolving around the current ecological crisis and we try to push a sustainability agenda inside the university of Vienna.
Your future tasks:
- You support and organize the activities of the Vienna Anthropocene Network, e.g. conferences, workshops, science communication.
- You are in contact with the members of the network and support them in their involvement with the network.
- You are in charge of the organization of conferences and workshops.
- You advertise our activities on our website and on social media, eg. X, Instagram, Youtube etc.
- You help our members in communicating their research on the Anthropocene.
- You are in charge of updating our website.
- You are in charge of logistical and administrative task for the VAN, eg. organization of meetings, room reservations, travel expense administration, SAP.
This is part of your personality:
- You have a high-school degree, a business administration degree or a university degree and experience in office management
- You are experienced in project administration and science communication.
- You have excellent skills in MS Office Kenntnisse (esp. Excel und Power Point), experience in SAP
- You have experience with Content Management Systems (eg. Typo3), image editing and layout software (eg. Adobe Photoshop), and Social Media
- You have excellent language skills in German and good skills in English
- You have excellent writing skills and are able to formulate scientific content in a succinct and comprehensible way for non-academics
- You are able to coordinate your work in an independent way.
- You are excellent at organizing events inside the university.
- You have experiences with university structures, institutions and processes.
