Summary of the role/position

Two fantastic opportunities have arisen for an enthusiastic sport-minded professional to join our team as an Operational Assistant at the University of Exeter Sports Office.

These positions will include working at some of the Sports Office’s three sites: St Luke’s Sports Centre, Sports Park (Streatham Campus) and Cornwall House Swimming Pool. Therefore an NPLQ and/or Level 2 Gym qualification would be desirable (but not essential) for this role.

Working as part of a team you will be responsible for the efficient, safe operation of the three sites and for delivering high standards of service across all facilities. This will include lifeguarding (where qualified), set ups and take downs of all equipment, supervising the gyms and maintaining cleanliness of all facilities.

Experience of working in a similar environment and dealing with a varied cross-section of customers is desirable along with an awareness of health and safety issues.

A proactive approach, an eye for detail and a team-minded attitude with a desire to succeed is of equal importance.

Please note that all applications must be completed by filling out the University online application form. Applications after the deadline date, email applications and direct CV’s will not be considered.

Please ensure you read the Job Description and Person Specification for full details of this role.
