Online Associate Lecturer in Crowded Places and Public Safety Management

As a key member of Coventry University Online, an established company and wholly-owned subsidiary of the University Group, the Associate Lecturer will be part of the Tutor Services Team and will be responsible for quality-driven learning facilitation on a module-based system to a cohort of students through the learning platforms.

A subject expert, the Associate Lecturer will have expertise and experience in teaching Crowded Places and Public Safety Management, or an associated course, at a Post Graduate Level. The post holder will be comfortable using technology to enable effective support to large cohorts of students at distance, utilizing the FutureLearn and Aula platforms, this will include ‘live’ sessions, forums and dealing with specific queries, questions and formative feedback through email. The Associate Lecturer will have responsibility for, with the support of Module Leaders, preparation and delivery of learning support to individuals and/or groups, to mark coursework, assignments, projects and examinations. The ability to deliver clear feedback on exercises and assignments is essential as well as ensuring that teaching challenges thinking, fosters debate and develops the ability of the students to engage in critical discourse and rational thinking.
