About the role

This three-year part time post is an exciting opportunity to manage the National research Incubator for pharmacy professionals.  The Pharmacy Incubator is an NIHR funded activity designed to build research capacity across the pharmacy profession. Whilst it is located within and primarily focused on England it will also support the development of pharmacy research across Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. They will be expected to become a specialist in pharmacy research capacity building across the UK.

Located within the School of Healthcare, at the University of Leicester, the post holder will lead the incubator steering group and other key stakeholders in delivering the three-year funded plan to increase research capacity within the profession.

Key to this stimulating role will be developing detailed project plans, managing, coordinating and when necessary, influencing multiple stakeholders associated with the pharmacy profession including clinicians, academics, employers, regulators and policy makers.

Working largely autonomously and alongside the principal investigator, Professor Debi Bhattacharya, the individual will be responsible for the day to day running and management of the incubator to ensure that it delivers to schedule and within budget.


About you

The role holder will have expert knowledge of the pharmacy profession including its regulatory and professional body structures and existing career pathways. They will also require excellent interpersonal skills, be enthusiastic, flexible and be experienced in working independently and within wider teams. They will need to be highly IT literate, proactive and organised.
