The Department
NEON is a national charitable incorporated organisation which drives forward opportunity and social mobility in higher education by championing access and success in higher education from those from lower income backgrounds, black and minority ethnic groups, disabled students, older learners and other groups under-represented in higher education. It is a member-based organisation with over 150 organisations as members including over 100 universities. NEON provides professional development for staff in the higher education sector; creates the space to share and improve practice and works directly with politicians and policymakers to advocate for the students we serve.
The Role
The Person
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual as our Events and Membership Services Officer. Reporting to the Director this role will take responsibility for the effective running of NEON’s event programme, including our annual awards ceremony and Summer Symposium. They should have experience of providing excellent customer service, as well as being highly organised and being able to work remotely, to agreed targets, with minimal supervision. Candidates should also have a high level of both literacy and communication skills. They should be able to work with the Microsoft Office suite of applications and be able to produce engaging web content.
