About the Role
The Blavatnik School of Government is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Manager to work in this exciting role at the heart of a new £30m six-year project global research and policy initiative.
The What Works Hub on Global Education (WWHGE) aims to dramatically increase learning outcomes for children in developing countries by generating new evidence, and working with policymakers and NGOs to deliver the best teaching at scale.
The MEL Manager will be responsible for the implementation of the results framework for the programme. They will lead the implementation of the monitoring plan and learning framework, facilitating technical (workstream) adaptation sessions for decision making, annual strategy testing and theory of change refresh sessions and ensuring that the MEL system generates measurable results and impact at programme level.
They will work with the MEL Advisers to ensure the MEL systems are designed to support learning, reporting and accountability. They will also work with the School project lead, to ensure timely and high-quality reporting as set out in the programme MEL plan.
About You
You will have demonstrable experience in designing and managing MEL strategies, approaches and plans to enable a “fail-fast” approach to programme delivery and to support adaptive management and learning. You will possess strong stakeholder management and communication skills (including capacity development related to MEL approaches and communication to support data use) and be experienced in facilitating programmatic learning processes as well as enthusiasm for the work of the WWHGE.
