Henley Business School is a globally ranked, internationally renowned business school and part of the University of Reading. We are seeking recruit a Memberships and Events Team Manager to manage our Hub team. The Hub team delivers and operationalises the calendars of events and activities for The Henley Partnership and for the Henley Centre for Coaching, as well as business development activities across the wider portfolio of the Corporate Development Division.

The Memberships and Events Team Manager role would suit an applicant with a proven track record of overseeing the delivery of a broad range of projects and activities, working with a small, highly efficient, inter-dependent team.

The Hub team is 7 strong and the focus of this role is to lead and manage their activities. The Coaching Centre and The Henley Partnership deliver a series of learning events over the course of the year for their members, and managing them requires a project management approach.

Memberships of the Coaching Centre are currently largely individual and memberships of the Henley Partnership are corporate. Members of the Hub team recruit, retain and manage those relationships, which require supervision by the  Memberships and Events Team Manager.

The role acts as the pivot point for the teams’ activities, and is responsible for resource allocation, professional development and motivation.

The Memberships and Events Team Manager will have:

  • Proven ability to develop and manage relationships across internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience of Team management and resource planning and management 
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills to ensure that tasks are completed to deadlines and to prioritise and schedule multiple tasks across the team
  • Managing the big picture whilst keeping a handle on the detail
  • Managing multiple budgets for the wide range of projects which the team will undertake - and holding project-stakeholders to account for them
