About the role

Reporting to the Head of Media Relations, the role holder is responsible for helping to develop and implement Cranfield’s media relations strategy. This will involve working with academics and senior leaders across the University to deliver a wide-ranging programme of media relations activities to enhance the University’s reputation and distinctiveness.

About You

In this role, you will research, develop and write news stories across the University, supporting University-wide media initiatives, content creation and activity.

In this role, you will proactively source news stories from across the University, writing compelling press releases and pitching to secure media interest locally, nationally and internationally.  You will support University-wide media relations initiatives and work with other teams to develop content and align activity. A confident communicator, you will field and respond to media enquiries and manage a varied workload as part of a busy press office team.

You will also be a key member of the incident management/crisis communication team.
