The University of Winchester is seeking to appoint an experienced communications and corporate relations professional as part of the Corporate Relations Team within the Marketing, Communications & Engagement Department.

As part of a newly evolving function, you will be member of a group delivering targeted, effective, and creative communications campaigns as part of a project-led approach to communications and stakeholder relationship management.

You will work to build our brand visibility with existing and new stakeholders through projects ranging from corporate communications campaigns and collateral creation, internal communications and channel management and varied engagement activities with internal and external stakeholder groups.

You will be a results-driven communicator, with a passion for planning and executing communications activity and experience of working in higher education or other people-focused sectors. You will have experience understanding audience segmentation and the principles of working with a customer relationship management tool.

This is a highly varied role with an exciting combination of strategic input into projects and day-to-day responsibility to deliver activities directly. Key goals include raising the profile and reputation of the University locally, nationally, and globally to support income generation, increasing levels of engagement amongst current students and staff, future students and corporate stakeholders as required and liaising with our local and alumni communities to assist in the development of awareness of Winchester as premium provider of professional, careers-focussed education.

In conjunction with staff across the department and wider University you will also work with our creative and media buying agencies in telling ‘the Winchester story’ to support core recruitment activities and provide support to the wider student journey from enrolment to graduation and beyond.

We are looking for an ambitious self-starter with a passion for delivering innovative and results-driven campaigns and activities, with a strong capacity for content creation and the agility to multi-task.
