Aston University’s marketing and communications structure has been shaped to stay ahead of the competitive marketplace and to ensure that Aston’s distinctive brand positioning is communicated clearly to all stakeholders. Our University-wide teams (Undergraduate Communications, Postgraduate Communications, Brand Reputation and Events, Web and Digital, and Market Research, work in partnership with embedded marketing specialists based in academic Schools and Colleges. 

We employ a talented pool of ambitious and motivated academic and professional staff, and we are looking for an equally skilled marketing professional to be a part of the marketing activity in the Research and Knowledge Exchange department.

Working closely with the Marketing Manager, the successful candidate will exploit their skills in digital marketing, event planning and produce high-quality materials to develop a range of campaigns and events.

  • Developing print and digital marketing materials and campaigns
  • Plan and create content for several social media channels
  • Plan and attend various business, research and public engagement events (digital and in-person)
  • Implement a range of marketing communications
  • Managing enquiry and prospective applicant data through the applicant/ student journey
  • Building good working relationships with colleagues across various teams and responsibility levels to provide the best marketing and communications service.

Alongside excellent communication skills and a high degree of organisational ability, the post holder will have the ability to work effectively and flexibly on a range of projects and to tight deadlines. You will have experience in delivering high quality and innovative marketing solutions; writing engaging copy for a range of different audiences, stakeholders and purposes; and be able to work effectively and flexibly on a range of projects and to tight deadlines.
