Hours of work 18.5 hours per week, normally worked Monday to Friday. Flexible working will be considered.

Salary Full time starting salary is normally in the range of £20,454 to £22,799 per annum, pro rata, with potential progression up to £26,222 per annum, pro rata (18.5 hours per week)

Role Description
We welcome applications from commited and engaged Marketing Assistants to join our team to contribute to the promotion of University courses and events.
About the Role
You will support the marketing and student recruitment activity within the School of Management (SoM) and work closely with colleagues in the wider University. You will assist in the marketing and promotion of the University’s courses, events and associated activities. You will also assist as appropriate in the research, creation and publication of high-quality content through multiple channels (including social) utilising copy writing and content creation skills.
You will provide operational support for the Marketing Partner which includes day to day administration, updating, producing and delivering print and online collateral, review and update webpages, develop case studies and other campaign support materials and events planning, attendance and delivery.
About You
You must be educated to A Level standard or have equivalent experience, relevant marketing and/or communications experience, strong verbal and written skills and the ability to write in a range of styles and use email, Word and Excel computer software effectively. The ability to build effective working relationships, working collaboratively and co-operatively with internal and external stakeholders, flexibility, adaptable to change and ability to multi-task with accuracy and attention to detail are all essential requirements.
You will have a strong interest in digital marketing with an aptitude for web editing, copywriting, using social media and CRM systems and want to develop your wider marketing skills.

The International Partnerships and Student Recruitment Department (IPSR) works with and supports the wider University in its goals to; support and drive Student Recruitment, provide a first class Admissions Service, create and support International Partnerships and support the Schools generally in broader marketing activities.
IPSR is largely school embedded and this role sits within the School of Defence and Security. The teams across IPSR have expertise in the following areas; marketing for Taught, Research and Short Course Student Recruitment, conversion and admissions processing, administration, International Partnerships and recruitment.
