Are you an organised Administrator with experience of arranging and organising conferences and events? Have you got excellent organisational and time management skills? Can you work independently, using your initiative whilst taking the unexpected in your stride?

You will take the lead administrative role in supporting the activities of the Leeds University Centre for African Studies (LUCAS), an interdisciplinary centre of the University of Leeds. This will involve coordinating and publicising seminars and other events, copy-editing materials for the bulletin and website, and day to day financial management.

With the ability to work without close supervision you will have excellent IT skills and an interest in Africa and African contemporary issues. You will have experience of interpreting policies and procedures and advising/acting within guidelines and experience of servicing formal academic meetings including minute taking.

The University of Leeds is a diverse, multi-cultural environment. We welcome applications from all sections of society, and you will be expected to work within University values and policies which are designed to promote dignity, diversity and inclusiveness.
