We are currently looking for a Linux System Administrator who will use his/her passion for new technologies to move the IT infrastructure of the entire university forward.

As part of our cooperation you can get involved in:

• Advanced Linux systems administration, further automating the management of the OS and installed software
• Architecture design and implementation of new solutions and services, testing of new technologies, upgrading major IT infrastructure systems and services of the university.
• Containerization: Docker, Ansible, virtualization (VMware), automation: Bash, Python
• Administration of DNS and mail infrastructure, applications and platforms GitLab, OpenVPN, Radius, PostgreSQL
• Administration of VMware vSphere virtualization platform including related hardware
• Collaboration with senior experts and researchers
• Design and optimization of IT infrastructure for major university projects

What do you need?

• Knowledge of Linux server management, containers, Docker, Ansible, virtualization (VMware), Bash, CI/CD: GitLab
• Ability to learn and experiment
• Results oriented and approach technical problems from a user perspective
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in a team 
• Knowledge of English at B2 level, ability to communicate in Czech, Slovak or English.
• It is an advantage if you are proficient in Python, OpenVPN, Radius, PostgreSQL DB, Icinga
