The Directorate of Learning Resources are seeking to recruit a Library Assistant to join the Content and Metadata Services Team.
Qualifications required for post:
- Good general education with at least grade C/4 in GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
Experience required for post:
- Library, archive, clerical, general administrative and finance
Some of the main duties will be:
- Use the library support system (currently OCLC's Worldshare Management System (WMS)) to order and receipt books, journals and other resources and to ensure it is up-to-date in respect of supplier information
- Use the university-wide finance system (currently E5) to create Purchase Orders and help resolve queries relating to purchased items
- Liaison with Brookes finance colleagues and external suppliers in resolving queries in relation to purchased items
- Contribute to the timely turnaround of article and chapter scanning requests from academic staff, using the CLA's Digital Content Store
- Support our e-resources and subscriptions manager with the processing and management of our print and online journals
- Process new books for the Library.
