Do you have experience of working in a busy, customer focused environment and want to support students through their University journey in the library?

The Library is a key academic support department in the University, providing both students and staff with flexible and responsive services which underpin teaching, learning and research.

These roles will give you the opportunity to showcase your excellent communication skills through the development and provision of enquiry services, whether this be face to face, by telephone, email or live chat, as well as through the day-to-day oversight of the environment quality across all University Libraries. A high level of time management and organisational skills will be required to manage the circulation of print materials and care for the library collection, including shelving layout design, re-shelving and stock maintenance.

We have three positions available:

LR4093 Library Assistant

This post is permanent and part time, at 18.5 hours per week.

LR4078 Library Assistant - Weekends

This post is permanent and part time, at 6.5 hours per week, and for 48 weeks per year.

LR4100 Library Assistant - Weekends

This post is also permanent and part time, at 6.5 hours per week, and for 48 weeks per year.
