Are you our next Legacy Campaigns Co-ordinator, someone who is passionate about providing young people with agency and a voice? This crucial role supports Common Purpose to invest in young people in the UK so they can become a connected generation of leaders with a clear vision for what their legacy will be. 

Common Purpose is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1989 that develops leaders who can cross boundaries. Our Legacy initiative delivers social impact leadership programmes that aim to engage and develop diverse 18-25 year-olds. 

Working in our UK Business Unit, you will report to the UK Managing Director to support in the strategic direction of Legacy. You will be responsible for sourcing and building the group of young people who will take part in the programmes, staying connected with them post programme and working on assessing the impact they are having because of taking part in the initiative. 

This role is a full time permanent role which can be based anywhere in the UK. 

As our Legacy Campaigns Coordinator, you will: 

  • Support the UK Managing Director to execute the Legacy alumni strategy in the UK
  • Develop mechanisms to convene and build groups of up to 100 young people in each Legacy programme location including the use of social media channels
  • Seek opportunities to raise the profile of and promote our Legacy programmes nationally
  • Liaise with participants and stakeholders to develop reports on the impact of our Legacy programmes
  • Liaise with our programme delivery team to ensure that an exciting and relevant programme curriculum reflects our Legacy challenge topics
  • Manage the UK Legacy alumni network
  • Co-facilitate Legacy programmes – both online and in-person
  • Work with our marketing team to produce promotional collateral as needed, ensuring our information is up to date
  • Lead on administrative tasks such as contracting, invoicing and pipeline reporting 

You will bring the following experience with you: 

  • A commitment to working with and providing opportunities for young people
  • Ability to manage, coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Experience of establishing strong working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders from different functions and cultures
  • Excellent written English, oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly accurate with good attention to detail
  • A collaborative team-player, while also able to work well independently
  • An understanding of how to use social media to drive campaigns
  • Experience of proactively solving problems
  • An understanding of and commitment to Common Purpose’s mission, values and behaviours
