The Division of Psychology and Language Sciences, within the Faculty of Brain Science, wishes to appoint one full-time Lecturer (Teaching) to support undergraduate psychology programmes (BSc/MSci Psychology and BSc/MSci Psychology and Language Sciences). The post has arisen because of increased enrolments in the programmes in the last two academic years and the post holder will support the development of better learning communities for these cohorts as they move through their undergraduate degrees.

The post is available from 1st September 2022, or as soon as possible thereafter and will last for 30 months.

The appointee must have a PhD in the area of Psychology or a cognate discipline. They must possess knowledge of core undergraduate psychology curricula, knowledge of psychological statistics and ‘R’, and of open, reproducible psychological research methods. The successful candidate will have experience in teaching statistics to psychology students, as well as acting as a personal tutor (including providing academic and pastoral care to students with significant personal challenges) and supervision of undergraduate research projects.
