About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Adult/Primary Care/Children’s/Mental Health/Learning Disability nursing to join the Faculty of Health, Social Care and Medicine.

You will inspire the delivery of a high-quality student experience and play a significant role in the design, delivery, and evaluation of the adult/primary care/children’s/mental health/learning disability nursing curriculum and be involved in teaching across the entire nursing portfolio. In addition, you will maintain excellent standards in learning, teaching, and assessment.

About You

As a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer you will be a registered nurse with leadership experience of adult/primary care/children’s/mental health/learning disability nursing, with the UK Nursing & Midwifery Council registration to accompany this. You will have further experience of working within a higher education setting. You will also have excellent emotional intelligence, whilst being an effective communicator and inspirational leader. You will also possess significant and demonstrable practice-based/academic experience underpinned by a sound working knowledge of the contemporary professional landscape. 

Ideally, you will have relevant HEI experience, underpinned by a sound working knowledge of contemporary issues in adult/primary care/children’s/mental health/learning disability nursing specialism, with a high level of awareness of the interprofessional agenda. It would be advantageous to have experience of research activity and publications. 

You will be an enthusiastic, innovative, and engaging professional with significant teaching/practice experience, able to deliver high quality teaching to our students. The successful post holder will have an effective communication & leadership style and possess excellent interpersonal skills.  Time and workload management skills are a key requirement to this post and having a strong commitment to the welfare and success of students will be key to your success in a growing department.
