Salary Full time starting salary is normally in the range of £44,001 to £49,048 per annum, with potential progression up to £61,309 per annum (Lecturer) and £54,003 to £60,192 per annum with potential progression up to £75,238 (Senior Lecturer)

Role Description
We welcome applications for this exciting Lecturer/Senior Lecturer post from those with relevant knowledge and experience in sustainable manufacturing and life cycle assessment.
About the Role
This position focuses on undertaking a leading role in research in sustainable manufacturing operations, and in teaching and management of postgraduate courses in related topics. We are looking for suitably qualified and experienced individuals who would be responsible for the development and delivery of research and high-quality teaching at postgraduate level in at least one of the following areas (more than one is better): Sustainable Manufacturing, Life cycle assessment / Environmental impact assessment, Circular Manufacturing, Re-manufacturing, Manufacturing operations, Management of technology and innovation, Manufacturing ecosystems management.
About You
Candidates will have track record in theoretical and practical knowledge in manufacturing management areas such as Manufacturing management, Manufacturing operations, Management of Technology and Innovation, Planning scheduling and inventory control, Production systems analysis and design, Quality management, Lean manufacturing, Global production and service networks, Manufacturing ecosystems management. You will have a PhD in manufacturing, engineering, information technology or a related area. You will have experience in writing high quality papers in top rated journals and in developing research proposals. You must be proficient in oral and written communications and have a strong track record in publication. You must demonstrate the ability to engage with industry and wider stakeholders.
Senior Lecturer: You must demonstrate a proven track record of teaching and MSc/PhD supervision in a relevant aspect of manufacturing management. You must demonstrate a proven track record of successfully securing funding from research councils.
You will be expected to write and win funding for research proposals from RCUK, Innovate and Europe as well as directly from Industry. Targets for such funding will be set annually through the Performance & Development Review process.
