Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer in Nursing
Lecturer: £38,205 - £45,585 Senior Lecturer:£46,974 - £56,021
Due to recent expansion in apprenticeship numbers within the School we are seeking additional staff to support the development and delivery of our Nursing Associate courses which are taught at our Bedford and Luton campuses.
We’re looking for experienced and inspirational lecturers or clinicians, able to take responsibility for teaching on our undergraduate nursing associate courses. You may be on the child, adult or mental health part of the NMC register and will be required to teach predominantly the nursing associate programmes; however some units of study are shared and so there is a requirement to teach across our nursing programmes. As part of the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Education team, you’ll work with colleagues across the University to deliver exciting, innovative courses within a friendly and supportive environment. You’ll also collaborate with local practice partners who support our learners with their practice learning.
You will be joining one of the University’s largest faculties, offering a full range of undergraduate, postgraduate and vocationally orientated professional health and social sciences courses for home and overseas students.
Our areas of study within the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Education cover both pre-professional registration and post-qualifying education, and we offer NMC-approved courses in the fields of Adult, Child and Mental Health Nursing, Nursing Associates and Midwifery. We also provide a variety of courses for qualified healthcare practitioners plus courses in medical and dental education. We set the bar on employability, with 100% of our graduates going into employment, normally with our local healthcare providers.
The University has an international research reputation and actively encourages staff to develop their specialist knowledge and skills through postgraduate and doctoral studies. All Faculty staff are encouraged to be research active, with full support provided by The Institute of Health Research.
Interviews will be held on 11th July 2024.
