About the Role

 We seek two Lecturers or Senior Lecturers in Aerospace Engineering, one with expertise in Avionics and Control and the other with expertise in Dynamics and Vibrations. Both positions will play pivotal roles in developing the Aerospace Programme in the Department of Engineering at Nottingham Trent University.

The Department is characterised by an innovative approach to education in partnership with industry, emphasising innovation and project delivery on a foundation of core engineering expertise. We are looking for someone with a proven ability applying engineering knowledge to innovate. You will be an inspiring educator, who aims to develop project-based teaching in the context of real-world applications and thrives in a collegiate Department. The department has been recognised as a member of CDIO.

You will likely have a PhD in a relevant Engineering discipline and an emerging record in research. Preferred areas of research application include one or more of human factors, digital innovation, manufacturing/materials and sustainability engineering. The successful candidates will be able to teach modules in Avionics and Control, and/or Mechanics, Dynamics and Vibrations. We also welcome applicants with industrial experience and who have chartered engineering status.
