The Faculty of Health and Social Sciences provides a vibrant and innovative environment and is made up of five academic departments: Rehabilitation and Sport Sciences, Medical Science and Public Health, Nursing Science, Midwifery and Health Sciences, and Social Sciences and Social Work. Located in the newly commissioned, state-of-the-art Bournemouth Gateway Building, we offer an outstanding range of facilities coupled with access to the most up to date technology and equipment. The vision of the Department of Rehabilitation and Sport Sciences is to provide high-quality education and research that supports excellence to the benefit of all those who access sport, exercise, and rehabilitative health care services, nationally and globally. The department is a supportive community of staff, practitioners, students, and service users who work in partnership. 

We are investing in exciting new positions to further align our teaching, research and professional practice portfolio toward BU’s 2025 strategic investment areas and applications are invited for the role of either Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Strength and Conditioning.  To succeed in the role, you will be able to demonstrate a contemporary knowledge and understanding of current practice in your field. You will be enthusiastic about student-centred pedagogy, and you will contribute to education delivery, including programme management as required, across the range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. You will be engaged in high quality research and knowledge-exchange activities which may include innovative CPD, short course activities and developing personal areas of research scholarship and professional expertise. You will also make a significant contribution to employability, and professional engagement with relevant internal and external organisations, at a regional, national, and international level.
