Please note that as of 1st September 2022 our colleges and schools will be moving into a new structure which will consist of the following three Faculties – Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, Faculty of Environment, Science and Economy, and Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences

Two 0.4FTE secondment positions have become available for lecturer-practitioners to join our Medical Imaging team at the University of Exeter, from September 2022 until the 31st of July 2023.

This post may interest radiographers from a wide range of backgrounds who would like to experience working in academia. 

About the role

Your responsibilities will include teaching modules on the BSc (Hons) Medical Imaging (Diagnostic Radiography) and degree apprenticeship undergraduate programmes and/or MSc programmes. This role involves lecturing, developing and running laboratory practical sessions, providing pastoral care and tutorial support to undergraduate and postgraduate students and undertaking academic administrative duties as required.  Full support will be provided from experienced academic radiographers. 

Medical Imaging programmes at the University of Exeter include the high-ranking BSc (Hons) Medical Imaging (Diagnostic Radiography) programme taking in the region of 70 students per intake, a degree apprenticeship route which started in March 2020 along with a growing portfolio of postgraduate provision including the MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice, MbyRes in Medical Imaging and PhD in Medical Imaging.  There is a supportive team working environment and development opportunities will be offered to assist the successful candidates in their role.
