The Babraham Institute is a charity which is world renowned for its research in life sciences to enhance lives and improve wellbeing.

We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic Research Assistant with experience in mammalian cell culture to participate in research studying the cell biological roles of protein citrullination in the lab of Dr Maria Christophorou.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other members of the lab to conduct careful cell culture-based experiments. They will also maintain high quality cell stocks and prepare and quality control reagents. Their work will complement ongoing studies that aim to gain understanding into the molecular mechanisms that underlie the function of the peptidylarginine deiminase (PADI) enzymes in stem cell biology.

The ideal candidate will take ownership of their project and drive it forward with critical thinking and enthusiasm.

Applicants must hold a BSc or MSc in biological sciences. They must be able to demonstrate experience in mammalian cell culture.
