The University of Surrey is a global community of ideas and people, dedicated to life-changing education and research.

We are ambitious and have a bold vision of what we want to achieve - shaping ourselves into one of the best universities in the world, which we are achieving through the talents and endeavour of every employee.

Our culture empowers people to achieve this aim and to collectively, and individually, make a real difference.

The role

To build on the expertise within the School of Health Sciences we are seeking to appoint a Lecturer (Teaching track) A or B- Pathway Lead School Nursing (dependant on experience and/or qualifications) to support the Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) School Nursing PG Diploma programme. This is a part-time fixed term contract (up to 2 years). The successful candidate will work alongside colleagues supporting the Post-Graduate NMC approved, specialist practice SCPHN and SPQ programmes.

This is a well-established team, with a breath of knowledge and experience, so this opportunity would be perfect for an experienced clinician interested in developing their knowledge and experience in education delivery, learning and teaching, as well as an experienced teacher.

The school is a leading provider of quality undergraduate and postgraduate education and is in the top 10 in the UK for research following the latest Research Excellence Framework (REF) assessment and hold Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).

The School of Health Sciences offers a wide range of innovative programmes in the field and research within the school is diverse, but focussed in five key areas:  Cancer Care, Digital Health and Transformation, Workforce and Wellbeing (WOW) , Long Term Conditions, Maternal and Family health.

The School of Health Sciences is located in a newly refurbished facility within the Surrey research Park.  Housed in the Kate Granger building, the school has modern and innovative teaching, simulation, and study spaces to support the student journey.  Research facilities and staff areas within the school also ensure modern working environments to enhance creativity.
