The above part time post 0.2 FTE is available immediately in Clinical Education Development and Research (CEDAR), Psychology. 

This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.

The role

You will have responsibility for the design, development and production of teaching and learning material (Advanced Participation Practitioner & Supervisor trainer ­– Engagement, Participation and Advocacy) and deliver either across a range of modules or within a subject area within the programme. You will work with the Participation lead to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the academic elements of the programme in accord with the College’s education strategy and implementing the External Affairs strategy. You will also contribute directly to teaching in one or more of the discipline areas in the Programme and to the development and implementation of innovative teaching practices across CEDAR.  

You will possess an in-depth understanding of service user participation, engagement and delivery to enable the development of new knowledge and understanding within the field, specifically in relation to the development of widening participation for cyp services within the south west community of practice. You will have knowledge of theory and experience of delivery and design of how to support and develop service user engagement across multiple contents. You will have experience and the ability to support dissemination of knowledge for better service delivery and engagement and young people’s participation.

About you

For a Lecturer post you will:

  • Possess sufficient breadth or depth of specialist and core knowledge in the discipline, to develop teaching programmes, and teach and support learning;
  • Use a range of delivery techniques to enthuse and engage students;
  • Participate in and develop external networks, for example, to contribute to student recruitment, secure student placements, facilitate outreach work, generate income, obtain consultancy projects, or build relationships for future activities;
  • Will have evidence of excellent teaching identified by peer review and have made an impact at discipline programme level beyond their own teaching;
  • Be expected to work towards Fellow of the HEA status and to attend formal CPD relating to this.
