The University is proud to be launching its Health Wellbeing and Care Hub (HWCH), in partnership with Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System and other NHS partners. Providing an exciting state of the art research and therapeutic space, the Hub aims to transform health, wellbeing and care in the region and strengthen our connection with the community and our sector partners, in Essex, regionally and nationally. The range of activities in the Hub will contribute significantly to the overall development of health and social care in the region and ultimately will benefit society nationally and internationally.

We are looking for registered clinicians and therapists with a strong background in delivering a range of health and/or social care interventions and with overall management experience of children and/or adults with developmental or acquired difficulties in cognition, learning, language, communication, physical and/or mental health. We are looking for therapists to work alongside our students in Nursing (Adult and Mental Health), Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, Mental Health Wellbeing Practitioners, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Sports Science  You will work closely with our HWCH Manger and academic staff to innovate and run a diverse set of interventions, delivered face to face in the Hub, as well as in the community and online, to meet the gaps in service provision and provide support and care to service users and their families. You will oversee the provision, provide supervision to students delivering the service as well as support the workforce of our partners across the Integrated Care Systems. There will be opportunities to be involved in clinical research developed in the Hub, as well as inputting to lectures.

Qualifications required

For grade 8, the successful candidate will have professional experience or practice equivalent to relevant postgraduate degree or have or be close to completion of relevant postgraduate degree.

For grade 9 and 10, the successful candidate will have professional experience or practice equivalent to relevant doctoral level research degree or have or be close to completion of PhD.

You will also possess Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy or the ability to gain professional recognition at this or a higher level if appropriate. A HCPC/NMC/BPS/SWE registration as Health and/or Care Practitioner is also essential to the role.
