We invite applications for a Lecturer Veterinary and Animal Ethics to join RVC Animal Welfare Science and Ethics team. The post will be based at our Hawkshead Campus, a 20-minute train ride from the centre of cosmopolitan London.
You will work in a friendly, enthusiastic, and inclusive group, playing an essential role in delivery of outstanding, engaging and innovative teaching, research and outreach. The role will require design and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate blended learning and associated assessment, supervision of student projects and tutoring duties across RVC Veterinary Medicine, Biosciences and Veterinary Nursing courses. The post will involve working at both RVC Hawkshead and Camden campuses. You will be expected to actively engage in high impact research and outreach complementary to RVCs current research programmes and to contribute to the College’s ethical review processes.
We seek a dedicated and passionate veterinarian or veterinary nurse with experience in clinical practice, a period of training in veterinary and animal ethics, and detailed knowledge of relevant ethical frameworks and legislation. You will have a demonstrable record of research in ethics or related subjects. You will hold excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, and be able to work effectively both collaboratively within diverse teams and independently.
Prospective applicants wishing to discuss this position informally are encouraged to contact Dr Siobhan Abeyesinghe (Head of Group, RVC Animal Welfare Science and Ethics) on +44 (0)1707 66 6947 or email: [email protected].
The RVC values diversity and is committed to the equality of opportunity. Balancing both the needs of the business with those of our staff, we will consider applications to work on a flexible basis where possible
