The Manchester Metropolitan University has made a strategic investment in sports research and education, including the creation of the Sport Policy Unit in the Faculty of Business and Law, and a new Institute of Sport, which opened in September 2022. The Sport Policy Unit (SPU) is part of the Department of People and Performance. We are seeking an outstanding Lecturer for a 1 year fixed-term teaching post. Duties will include teaching across a range of sport modules in sport management, politics and policy, as well as marking and supervising student dissertations.

You will have, or will be working towards, a PhD in a relevant topic. You will have experience of teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and be confident in engaging diverse student cohorts. You should be competent in the use of technology to enhance teaching and possess a collegiate and flexible attitude.

You will be joining an exceptional team that has teaching and research expertise in sports policy and politics more broadly, sports marketing, sponsorship, economics and law. We are actively engaged in national and international research relationships and projects, including with UK Sport, the Rugby League World Cup, Manchester City FC, La Trobe University and Tokyo 2020.
